Certificate in ACCA Eligibility & Entrance exam
Eligibility Criteria for ACCA course:
The eligibility conditions required to enrol in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course are as follows.
Students should have completed class 10+2 and must have studied Accounts, Mathematics and English and obtained 65% marks in three subjects and 50% marks in remaining subjects from a recognised board with an aggregate of are eligible. Such students are exempted to take the Foundational Diploma course of ACCA. Minimum age limit is 18.
Or
Students who have completed class 10 and want to enrol in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course have to go through Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) route. Minimum age limit is 16.
Or
Students who are pursuing under-graduate degree in Commerce such as BBA, B. Com, BMS are also eligible, but for that students must have completed BA or B.Sc. with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university, but they have to first complete the ACCA Foundation diploma.
Or
Candidates preparing for CA Foundation are also eligible to appear in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) exam for added global advantage and credibility.
Entrance exam for ACCA course:
The entrance exam and admission criteria to enrol in Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) course are as follows.
ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) course covers aspects of Chartered Accountancy such as Financial Management, Taxation, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Auditing and Business Finance.
There is total 13 examinations in which students have to appear which is further divided into three levels such as Skill, Knowledge and Professional.
Students can appear in Knowledge Level exams at any time in the 365 days of the year. The Professional and Skill Level exams held in month of June, March, September as well as in December.
Exemptions:
Students who have completed class 10+2 are exempted to take the Foundational Diploma course of ACCA.
Students who have completed their graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in Commerce are exempted from ACCA Knowledge level exams such as Management Accounting (MA), Business & Technology (BT), and Corporate and Business Law and Financial Accounting (FA) Exam of Skill Level Exam.
Out of 13 exams, Individuals who are Chartered Accountants are exempted from appearing in 9 exams. Such individuals have to appear in the four exams of Professional Level.
Individuals who have qualified the CA Intermediate exam are exempted from Taxation, Management Accounting, Business & Technology, Audit, Financial Accounting, and Assurance exams.
