AILET (All India Law Entrance Test)

National Law University (NLU) Delhi is one of the leading law universities in India conducts AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) in offline mode to provide admissions into BA LLB (Hons.) /LL.M. and Ph.D. courses. The entrance test is conducted at national level and by qualifying this test students will get admission to the UG and PG level courses.

Eligible students seeking for admission to BA LLB (Hons.), LLM or PhD courses offered by the National Law University (NLU), Delhi must fill out the application form and appear for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria:

To appear in the AILET (All India Law Entrance Test), students need to follow the given eligibility conditions.

Students must have passed class 10+2 examination in any stream and obtained minimum 45% marks (40 % for SC/ST category students) from recognized board are eligible.

Students who are awaiting their board results are also eligible to apply.

The minimum age required to apply for the AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) is 17 years.

Foreign National Students are exempted from taking AILET (All India Law Entrance Test).

The OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) / PIO (Person of Indian Origin) category students shall have the option to apply either under the category of Indian students or under the Foreign National category.

Reservation Criteria:

All rules regarding reservations of seats under different priorities and categories will be applicable only at the time of final seat allocation via wait list/merit list.

Application Form Fill-out Process:

Applicants are required to apply through the E-application process (online) only. Last date for registration for this academic year is over. Candidates can apply next year by following the process given below.

  1. Visit the official website of NLU, Delhi (National Law University).
  2. After that click on the AILET 2023 and "Apply Online" link.
  3. Read the instructions carefully before filling out the online application form.
  4. Fill-up all the necessary details in the application form carefully.
  5. Upload your signature, scanned photograph, thumb impression and all the necessary documents in the application form.
  6. Pay the application fee via online mode.
  7. Submit the application form before the last date of registration.

Students who wish to apply for the AILET (All India Law Entrance Test), may pay the applicable fee through the online gateway of debit or credit card which is a non-refundable amount.

Exam Dates:

The AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) 2023 is an entrance exam conducted by NLU, Delhi for admission to BA LLB (Hons.) /LL.M. and Ph.D. courses. The exam is a pen-paper based test (offline) that has been conducted in various cities across India.

Students wishing to appear for the exam must meet the eligibility conditions of the exam. For the law courses, the AILET 2023 exam has been conducted on 11th December 2022 and results has been declared on 19th December 2022.

AILET  Admit Card

Exam Admit Card:

The AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) Admit Card was available on the NLU, Delhi (National Law University) official website on 25th November 2022. Students can access their hall ticket by logging in with their login id and password.

Steps to Get Admit card:

  1. Go to the official website of NLU, Delhi (National Law University)
  2. Then after click on the " AILET 2023 Admit Card" link.
  3. Enter your login id and password.
  4. Click on the "Submit" button.
  5. Admit card/Hall ticket will be shown on the screen.
  6. Download and print your Admit card/Hall ticket for future reference.

Students are suggested to carry their admit card to the exam centre on exam date. Without the admit-card, students are not permitted for the exam.

Legal principles can be used in the section of logical reasoning to examine logical aptitude but the test will not require any kind of technical understanding or legal knowledge.

The AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) Result 2023 was declared on the official website of NLU, Delhi on 19th December 2022.  Aspirants can check their results by using their login id and password.
