About GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test)

GPAT stands for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test which is a National Level Entrance Examination to provide admissions into M. Pharma Courses. Till 2018, GPAT was organized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). Since 2019 GPAT is conducted by NTA which is an autonomous, independent and self-sustained premier testing organization to organize transparent, efficient tests in order to assess the competency of students for admissions to premier higher education institutions.

Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test is a three hours Computer Based Test (Online mode). Financial assistance and few scholarships in the sector of Pharmacy are also given on the basis of GPAT Scores.

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test Score is accepted by all Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) approved / AICTE/ affiliated University Departments / Affiliated Colleges / Constituent / Institutions.

Students have to apply separately to the desired participating Institutions which accepts GPAT Score. After that each participating colleges will release their respective GPAT cut off Scores which a student must meet to get qualified for admission. Once qualified, students are eligible for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Eligibility Criteria:

To appear in the GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test), students need to follow the given eligibility conditions.

Students must have completed Graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (after 10+2 four years duration, including lateral entry students) from a recognized University.

B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) students are not eligible to apply.

Students who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor’s Degree and whose result will be released before commencement of admission can also apply for GPAT – 2023.

The student must be a citizen of India.

There is no age limit to apply for the GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test).

Reservation Criteria:

All rules regarding reservations of seats under different priorities and categories will be applicable only at the time of final seat allocation via wait list/merit list. Institutes/ Colleges run by the Central Government; the reservation would be applicable as given below.

(a) SC (Scheduled Castes): 15% of the total seats.

(b) ST (Schedule Tribes): 7.5% of the total seats.

(c) (Non-Creamy Layers) OBC (Other Backward Classes): -27% of the total seats.

(d) General Economically Weaker Sections (General - EWS): - 10 %

(e) Persons with Disability (PWD): - 40 %

Application Form Fill-out Process:

Applicants are required to apply through the E-application process (online) only. Last date of registration for this academic year is over. Candidates can apply next year by following the process given below.

  1. Visit the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency).
  2. After that click on the " GPAT 2023 Application Form " and “New Registration” link.
  3. Read the instructions carefully before filling out the online application form.
  4. Fill-up all the necessary details in the application form carefully.
  5. Upload your signature, scanned photograph, thumb impression and all the necessary documents in the application form.
  6. Pay the application fee via online mode.
  7. Submit the application form before the last date of registration.

Application Fees: -

Students who wish to apply for the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT), may pay the applicable fee through the online payment gateway such as Credit Card /Debit Card (except Visa Card/Master card)/ Net-Banking/UPI).

General (UR):- Male- INR 2200/- Female- INR 1100/-

SC/ST/Gen-EWS/ OBC-(NCL)/PwD :- Male- INR 1100/- Female- INR 1100/-

 Third gender: - INR 1100/-

Applicable processing /service charges & GST over and above the application form fee, are to be paid by the students to the concerned Payment Gateway Integrator/ Bank.

Exam Dates:

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2023 is an entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission into M. Pharma courses. The exam is a computer-based test (online) that has been conducted in various cities across India.

Students wishing to appear for the exam must meet the eligibility conditions of the exam. GPAT 2023 exam has been conducted on 22nd May 2023 and results had declared on 1st July 2023.

GPAT Admit Card

Exam Admit Card:

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2023 Admit Card was available on the NTA official website on 19th May 2023. Students can access their hall ticket by logging in with their login id and password.

Steps to Get Admit card:

  1. Go to the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency).
  2. Then after click on the " GPAT 2023 Admit Card" link.
  3. Enter your login id and password.
  4. Click on the "Submit" button.
  5. Admit card/Hall ticket will be shown on the screen.
  6. Download and print your Admit card/Hall ticket for future reference.

Students are suggested to carry their admit card to the exam centre on exam date. Without the admit-card, students are not permitted for the exam.

GPAT Exam Centres

Exam Centres:

The City of Examination Centres where the exam takes place are available at official website. It is compulsory for students to choose four cities of their choice at the time of filling GPAT Online Application Form 2023.

However, due to administrative & logistic reasons, a different city of nearby area will be allotted to students and the City of Examination once selected and allotted cannot be changed (after the last date of the correction window). NTA (National Testing Agency) will allocate the examination centre which will be mentioned in the Admit Card.

GPAT Result

Exam Result:

The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) Result 2023 has been declared on the official website of NTA on 1st July 2023.  Aspirants can check their results by using their login id and password.

Steps to get Result:

  1. Go to the official website of NTA.
  2. Then after click on the " GPAT 2023 Results" link.
  3. Enter your login id and password.
  4. There is “Submit" button option click on it.
  5. Your result will be appeared on the screen.
  6. For future reference download your result.

The cut-off for Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2023 Exam will be affected by a number of factors such as availability of seats available, the number of students appeared in the exam and exam difficulty level.
