About LSAT (Law School Admission Test)

LSAT stands for Law School Admission Test which is conducted by LSAC (The Law School Admission Council) . The LSAT in law school admissions is the most trusted test and the only entrance test accepted by all ABA-accredited law schools.

LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is a national level law entry exam which evaluates both reading comprehension and verbal reasoning abilities of students. Students who qualify this exam have to apply for admission to 85 law schools situated all across the country. This test is run in pen-paper format (offline environment).  

LSAC (The Law School Admission Council) Global only releases LSAT India results in the form of scorecards to students mentioning their percentile, score band and scaled score. This LSAT scorecard can be further used to apply to the institutes/ colleges accepting LSAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria:

To appear in the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), students need to follow the given eligibility conditions.

LLB course: - Students must have completed Graduation and holding a Bachelor degree from any recognized university and obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate.

BA LLB course: - Students must have passed class 10+2 examination and obtained minimum 45% marks from recognized board are eligible.

LLM course: - Students have to qualify either 3 years or 5 years integrated LLB course with 45% aggregate marks from a recognized law college or University.

There is no age limit to appear for the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) exam.

Application Form Fill-out Process:

Applicants are required to apply through the E-application process (online) only. Last date of registration for this academic year is over. Candidates can apply next year by following the process given below.

  1. Visit the official website of LSAC (The Law School Admission Council).
  2. After that click on the " Register for LSAT India" link.
  3. Read the instructions carefully before filling out the online application form.
  4. Fill-up all the necessary details in the application form carefully.
  5. Upload your signature, scanned photograph, thumb impression and all the necessary documents in the application form.
  6. Pay the application fee via online mode.
  7. Submit the application form before the last date of registration.

Syllabus

The syllabus of LSAT (Law School Admission Test), India exam includes four sections -Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning (1), Logical Reasoning (2) and Analytical Reasoning. Detailed syllabus is given below.

Analytical Reasoning: Selection, Comparison, Arrangements, Coding and Decoding, Logical Deduction, Intersection type, Family based problems, directions, etc.

Logical Reasoning: Clock, Calendar, Venn Diagram, Cubes, Seating Arrangements, Blood Relations, Syllogism, Logical matching, etc.

Reading Comprehension: Sociology, Technology, Economics, Philosophy, Law, Business, Psychology, etc.

LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is a national level law entry exam conducted by LSAC (The Law School Admission Council) in an online, live remote-proctored format to provide admission into law courses. The exam is a pen-paper based test (offline) which will be conducted in various cities across India.

Exam Admit Card:

The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) 2023 Admit Card was available on the official website of LSAC (The Law School Admission Council) before the conduction of exam. Students can access their hall ticket by logging in with their login id and password.

Steps to Get Admit card:

  1. Go to the official website of LSAC (The Law School Admission Council).
  2. Then after click on the " LSAT 2023 Admit Card" link.
  3. Enter your login id and password.
  4. Click on the "Submit" button.
  5. Admit card/Hall ticket will be shown on the screen.
  6. Download and print your Admit card/Hall ticket for future reference.

Students are suggested to carry their admit card to the exam centre on exam date. Without the admit-card, students are not permitted for the exam. The following details will be mentioned on the admit card of LSAT.

Exam Cut-off:

The cut-off for LSAT (Law School Admission Test) 2023 Exam will be affected by a number of factors such as availability of seats available, the number of students appeared in the exam and exam difficulty level and it is also important to note that the cut-off marks vary every year.
