ABOUT GATE 2023
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national-level exam that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of several undergraduate subjects in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/ Science/ Commerce/ Arts. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur will organize the GATE 2023 computer-based test (CBT). IISc Bangalore and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee) will administer the exam on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GoI).
GATE 2024: How many students took the GATE 2023 examination?
IIT Kanpur completed this year's GATE 2023. The exam was held in eight sessions on February 4, 5, 11, and 12, 2023. This year, approximately 6.8 lakh candidates registered for the exam. The GATE was held in over 500 locations across the country. The overall candidate attendance was approximately 77%, 10% higher than the previous year.
Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2023

Nationality: Applicants must be Indian citizens. Candidates from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) may also apply.
Age - There is no upper age limit for taking the GATE 2023 exam.
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have completed or be in the final year of their Bachelor of Engineering/ Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or Postgraduate (M.Sc) degree in any relevant subject.

Application Form for GATE 2023
On August 30, IIT Kanpur released the GATE application form 2023. The GATE exam 2023 registration portal is only available online. To complete GATE registration 2023, candidates must complete the following steps:
IIT Kanpur GATE 2023: Initial Registration Candidates must first register through the GATE 2023 online application processing system (GOAPS) using the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2023 registration link, providing information such as the candidate's first, middle, and surname, valid email ID, country of residence, mobile number, and password. After entering their information, candidates must enter the OTP received on their mobile number and registered email address. Successfully registered candidates will be assigned a unique enrollment ID.
Filling out the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2023 application form - Once registered, candidates must fill out the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2023 application form with information such as personal details, academic details, communication details, a paper appearing for, exam centre details, photo ID proof, signature, and category certificate (for reserved categories).

Payment of application fee: Next, candidates must pay the GATE 2023 application fee online.
GATE 2023 Mock Exam
On December 13, IIT Kanpur published the GATE 2023 mock test on its official website. Candidates can learn about the GATE exam pattern 2023 by taking a mock test. Because the GATE 2023 mock test is based on the actual examination pattern, candidates must complete them to receive high marks. Authorities publish separate mock tests for each paper they manage.
