About SAKSHAM SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME
SAKSHAM is a scheme imposed by MHRD and implemented by AICTE to support and encourage the specially abled child of the country for pursuing their Technical education. This is the scheme for the young children who are admitted to technical colleges and are specially abled to encourage them for their studies and make a better future.
Feature of SAKSHAM Scholarship Scheme
- Total Number of Scholarship-1000 per Annum ( 500 for Degree and 500 for Diploma)
- The Scholarships for Degree and Diploma are transferable in event of non-availability of eligible applicant in any of the Degree/Diploma level Programme.
- The candidate should be admitted to 1st year of Degree/Diploma course in any of the AICTE approved Institution of respective year through Centralized Admission process of the State/Central Government.
- Specially Abled Student, having disability of not less than 40% and family incomenot more than 8 lakh per annum during the preceding financial year (in case of married girl, the income of parents/in-laws, whichever is higher will be considered).
- The selection of candidate will be made on merit on the basis of qualifying examination to peruse the respective Technical Degree/Diploma course from any of the AICTE approved institution.
- Amount of scholarship: Tuition Fee of Rs. 30,000/- or at actual, whichever is less and Rs.2000/- per month for 10 months as incidentals charges each year. In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, Students are eligible to get an amount of Rs. 30,000/- for the purchase of Books/Equipment/Softwares/
- Laptop/Desktop/Vehicle/Fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/exam/ specific equipments/ software’s for visually impaired/ speech and hearing disabled.
- Reservation-15% for SC, 7.5% for ST and 27% for OBC candidate/applicant.
How to apply for SAKSHAM Scholarship scheme?
To apply for SAKSHAM one have to visit the official website of NSP (National Scholarship portal), please go through the given details to apply for scholarship are:
1. Read the following instructions carefully before filling up of Renewal Application Form for SAKSHAM Scholarship Scheme.
2. Candidates can upload their correct documents by logging through their registered User ID & Password in AICTE portal.
3. For filling and submitting the application form, the following mandatory documents are required to be attached:
i) Promotion Certificate: Please download the format of Promotion Certificate (as enclosed) and upload the same duly signed by the Head of the Institution on the letterhead of the institution.
ii) Tuition Fee Receipt: Tuition Fee paid receipt for current academic year 2022-23 of the course, clearly indicating the tuition fee amount.
iii) Miscellaneous Fee Receipt: Miscellaneous fee receipt of amount paid towards the purchase of Books/ Equipment/ Softwares/ Laptop/ Desktop/ Vehicle/ Fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/exam.
4. Tuition fee reimbursement will not be considered without tuition fee paid receipt issued by institution.
5. Clearly mention the Tuition and Miscellaneous fees at the space provided.
6. The document size not more than 2MB and must be ".pdf" ".jpg" or ".jpeg" format.
7. If documents are not getting uploaded (preview) in .jpg format, try to upload files in .png/ .pdf format.
8. The documents must be legible. If failing which, your document will not be considered for reimbursement purpose.
9. Before submitting renewal application, students are advised to ensure that promotion certificate; tuition fee receipt, miscellaneous fee receipt etc. have been uploaded in the application form correctly. After submission of application, no further request shall be entertained to upload any leftover/ additional documents in support of claim.
10. Last date for submission of application has been extended till 17th January 2023. failing which, your case will be treated as closed.
Documents required for Scholarship
1. Mark Sheet of 10th or 12th or others as applicable.
2. Annual family Income Certificate for the preceding financial year in the prescribed format issued by not below the rank of Tahsildar.
3. Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority
4. Admission letter issued by Directorate of Technical Education for the admission in Diploma/Degree course.
5. Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/ Head of the Institute.
6. Tuition fee receipt.
7. AADHAR seeded Bank Pass Book in the name of the student indicating Account number, IFSC code and Photograph
8. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC category.
9. AADHAR card.
10. Declaration by parents duly signed stating that the information provided by their child is correct and will refund Scholarship amount, if found false at any stage.
