About Alluri Seetharama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences
In 1999, the Alluri Seetharama Raju Academy of Medical Sciences was established in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. The Medical Council of India has granted approval to the institute, which is associated with Dr. NTR University Alluri Sitaramaraju Academy of Medical Sciences, bears the name of the great independence fighter. The Medical College and its affiliated Teaching Hospital were founded as a non-profit organisation in 1999. The College and Hospital are situated on a sizable 100-acre property. Near National Highway No. 5, the campus is situated. It is 35 kilometers from Gannavaram (Vijayawada) airport and 3 km from Eluru Railway Station.
ASRAM Medical College offers five-year MBBS programs, two-year MS programs with five specializations, three-year MD programs with eight disciplines, one- to two-year PG-Diploma programs, and four-year B.Sc. in Nursing, three-year Diploma in Nursing, and two-year M.Sc. in Nursing programmers.
A total of 100 MBBS students were admitted annually when the Medical College first opened. The Medical Council of India, the Government of India, and the Government of Andhra Pradesh granted the necessary licenses. The College is associated with Vijayawada's Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. In 2007, postgraduate programs in all broad specialties were launched. Super specialties in medicine and surgery were added. From the academic year 2009–10, the MCI has approved an increase in the yearly intake of MBBS students to 150. As a result, 150 MBBS students are now accepted each year. The MCI has now approved 150 MBBS admissions per year.
