About Defence Institute of Advanced Technology University:-
The Defence Institute of Advanced Technology is a deemed University located in Girinagar, Next to Khadakwasla Dam, Pune, Maharashtra. It came into existence in 2005. The institute is recognized by AICTE, UGC, and NAAC. A total of 26 specializations are available in the M.Tech program offered by DIAT Institute, and admission is based on performance on the GATE entrance test.
For admission to the M.Tech program, non-Gate students must take an entrance exam administered by the Institute. Additionally, DIAT provides a Ph.D. program in eight different study fields. Admission Process for 2023:-
Candidates should submit an online application through the official website.
The application fee per program (specialization) is Rs. 500 for general and OBC students and Rs. 250 for SC/ST, women, and PWD candidates.
It must be paid online or by demand draft made out to the Vice Chancellor, DIAT, Pune, payable at Pune. According to the guidelines on the admission notice/website, the application must be posted.
The Deputy Registrar (Academics) must receive a printout of the application acknowledgment that the system generates after the application has been uploaded, along with a sealed envelope superscribed with the name of the program.
These documents must arrive at DIAT no later than the deadline specified in the admission notice.
The application will only be processed after receiving DD's acknowledgment. Candidates who wish to be admitted to more than one program (specialization) must submit additional applications.

Placements:-
A placement drive is held at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology for students in their final year. The university gives student placement top priority. The campus's placement drive is run by the Centre for Training and Placement (CTP).
It serves as a link between students and businesses. Companies from both the public and commercial sectors take part in the DIAT Pune placement drive each year. Students are given summer internship possibilities in addition to placement opportunities.
According to the university's placement report for 2020–21, students enrolled in 2-year PG programs are rewarded a median salary of Rs. 17,00,000. Infrastructure:-
The DIAT University provides facilities that comprise modern data centers, employee housing, a printing department, a guest home, a student dormitory, a community hall, a medical center, a supermarket, a post office, a bank, and a library, among other things.
The hostel offers many amenities to make a life for students living there comfortable, including 24-hour Wifi, a TV room, Aqua Guard for regular, cold, and hot drinking water, sports facilities, an ATM counter, a medical lab, gyms in the hostels, a bike farm on the campus, and many more.
The RMO of DIAT at the MI Room provides the DIAT medical facilities covered to Service officers and family members. Following the guidelines and regulations, both civilian employees and students may utilize the RMO's medical services.
The university offers students access to an indoor and outdoor sports facility on campus. It includes courts for sports like basketball, badminton, football, and cricket.
Scholarships:-
Under the DBT scheme of the AICTE, all scholarship category students are eligible for a scholarship of Rs. 12,400 per month during the M. Tech. course.
Contingency Grant: M.Tech scholarship recipients are also eligible for this type of funding. (At the moment, Rs. 5000 annually) in compliance with the Institute's choices. The new contingency grant won't be carried over to the next year.
