Govind Guru Tribal College, Banswara formerly known as (Rajiv Gandhi Tribal College) has been renamed and its headquarters shifted to Banswara with associated colleges at Banswara, Dangalpur and Pratapgarh.
It is a public university established by the 2012 Act and the (Change and Amendment of Name and Headquarters) Act, 2016. The temporary headquarters of the university is located in Udaipur. Currently, the central office of the university is located in a rented building. Soon university buildings and research institutes will be built on the allotted land.
The purpose of universities is primarily higher education, research, innovation and development. And creating new knowledge, strengthening professional skills and cultivating correct attitudes among promising young generations in order to rebuild society based on the cherished ideals of functional democracy is also considered.
