NIMS University was established in 2008 by Professor Barbir Singh Tomar under the NIMS University Act. The Government of India approves NIMS University as per the provisions of Section 2(f) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act. It is also recognized by various regulatory bodies like MCI, DCI, INC, PCI, AICTE, DEC, RPC, BCI and COA. NIMS University has received many awards for its high quality teaching and research orientation.
