Popularly known as NITTE, it is a renowned private university in Karnataka. Located in Derlakatte, Mangalore, the university was established as The NITTE A.B. Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences. It was established under the Nitte Education Trust in 2008. Later the institute developed other branches such as Medical, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Physiotherapy were established in 2009. The university offers UG, PG, Diploma, PhD, and Certification programmes under the Medicine and Health Sciences, Architecture, Mass Communication, Science and Engineering streams.
