The Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology administers an entrance test for admission to numerous programmes at SLIET. For UG admissions, candidates must submit JEE Main and SLIET CET exam scores. Applicants for postgraduate admission must pass the university's entrance examination. The credentials obtained from the relevant tests decide the students' final placement.

Placements:
SLIET Longowal's Training and Placement Cell is made up of Student Representatives, Faculty Coordinators, and Staff Members. Whereas the training and placement cell at SLIET Longowal acts as a link between students and recruiters. SLIET Longowal placement cell conducts activities such as Campus Placement Activities, Mock Interviews, Campus to Corporate Activities, Recruiters Connect, Career Fair, Career Counseling, Expert talk from Industry People, and the Entrepreneur Development Programme, which help students get placed in reputed organizations of their choice during the SLIET Longowal placement drive. SLIET Longowal placements are available to all students.
Central Library: The Central Library is housed in a modern structure with all kinds of facilities for the student community's greatest usage. It has a huge number of technical books as well as a good selection of books on literature, general knowledge, management, and moral sciences, among other things. A substantial number of national and international journals are already available through the central library. Aside from print subscriptions, INDEST Consortium journal users have access to the full text of publications.
Workshop: To provide practical instruction to students from all departments, the Central Workshop was created at Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (Deemed University), Longowal. Workshops' numerous shops are adequately equipped and offer centralized training to Certificate and Diploma students. It also meets the needs of the students' project work.
Hostels: Separate hostels for boys and females have been constructed by SLIET.
The Health Centre has been erected on the institute grounds in a covered space of approximately 400 square meters, with a capacity of four beds. It serves students, employees, and teachers with primary medical care on a daily basis. With the assistance of the District Health Department, the Health Centre organizes numerous seminars/camps to raise public awareness.

SC Post-Matric Scholarship
The scheme's goal is to provide financial aid to Scheduled Caste students studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level in order for them to continue their education.
OBC Post-Matric Scholarship
The scheme's goal is to provide financial assistance to OBC students studying at the post-matriculation or post-secondary level in order for them to complete their studies.
Minority Community Post-Matric Scholarship
The scholarship is intended to be awarded for studies in India at a government or private higher secondary school/college/university, including such government residential institutes and eligible private institutes as are selected and notified in a transparent manner by the State Government/Union Territory Administration concerned.
Scholarship based on merit and financial need for minority communities
The project will be executed by state governments and union territory administrations, who will get 100% central assistance from the Government of India for the overall scheme outlay.
Scholarship for GATE
Scholarships are offered to GATE qualified ME/M.Tech students under this plan, and the scholarship account is transferred to the student's account via the DBT scheme. The AICTE approves this scholarship based on the budget proposals and Gate Score Cards of the scholars.
