About University
The first women’s university in Gujarat is Vanita Vishram Women's University (VVWU). It came into being in 2018 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act of 2009. It is a novel initiative to champion the cause of women’s empowerment and boost women’s education to usher in their skill development opportunities for employment. The university emphasizes bridging the gap between academics and industry requirements and hence the curriculum of 11 Degrees and 31 Courses are planned according to industry requirements which enhances the placement opportunities. This university upholds the Government’s initiative of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ and contributes to the nurturing of great women entrepreneurs and leaders for the future. The University aims at training women in vocational courses that would increase their chances of employment in a plethora of industries and professional sectors.

Scholarships

There is also the provision of scholarships for students of minority communities (Buddha, Christian, Jain, Muslim, Parsi, Shikh).
