Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d is a professional four-year degree course that offers training in elementary education and provides an insight into cognitive development and child psychology, practices and theories of elementary education, and courses on how children learn.
The B. El. E d course is a mandatory requirement to train teachers for the primary level which includes internships, practical training along with classroom training. It prepares students to undertake teaching assignments and projects which make them eligible to deal with young kids efficiently.
Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d course designed for individuals who are interested to pursue their careers as elementary school teachers (classes 1 to 8). This course enables candidates to work in primary as well as upper primary schools in several states of the country.

Eligibility Criteria for B. El. E d (Bachelor of Elementary Education) course:
To pursue Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d course, candidates need to fulfil following eligibility conditions.
Students must have completed class 10+2 in any stream (commerce, science, arts) from CBSE/ICSE or any other recognised board are eligible to apply.
Students must have obtained minimum 50 % aggregate marks (45% marks for SC/ST) in class 10+2.
The minimum age required to apply for the Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d course is 17 years.
Candidates who are awaiting their board results are also eligible to apply.
Entrance exam for B. El. E d (Bachelor of Elementary Education) course:
Admission into Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d course is done on merit basis or entrance exam basis. DU B. El. E d entrance exam conducted by Delhi University is the only entrance exam conducted for Bachelor of Elementary Education.
The mode of an entrance exam is online.
All the 100 questions will be of objective in nature (MCQ) and of total 400 marks.
The duration of an entrance exam is approximately two hours.
The entrance exam comprises questions from General Knowledge and Teaching Aptitude, Subject Knowledge up to Class X, Reasoning and Language Proficiency etc.
Four marks will be awarded for every correct answer, there will be a deduction of one mark for every incorrect answer.
While few colleges and universities provide admission into Bachelor of Elementary Education or B. El. E d on merit basis. But for that students need to follow the following steps. Admission can be done either online or offline.
