Eligibility Criteria for CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) course:
There is no prescribed eligibility for students who are interested to pursue CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) course.
Candidates have to finish their presecondary training in computer networking which comprises of a bachelor’s degree in network management or networking.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum three to five years of experience in networking.
There is no age limit to apply for the CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) course.
Entrance exam for CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) course:
As such there are no formal requirements to take a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert certification exam. In general, admission for CCIE course gets on availability of seats and first come first serve basis. Admission can be done either online or offline.
Candidates must visit the official website for college in which they want to apply for admission purposes. Students have to fill the online application form and submit the original documents . There are two exams for the requirement for certification:
Written Exam: 120 minutes Duration, 90–110 questions with multiple choice (MCQ) and simulation.
Lab Exam: 8 hours Duration Lab exam (One day), CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) Lab Exams were two full-day exams.
The Switching Lab and CCIE Routing exam comprises of a 2-hour 30-minute Diagnostic section, Troubleshooting section, and a 5-hour and 30-minute Configuration section.
The eight-hour lab exam check ability to configure troubleshoot the network and actual equipment and in a timed test situation. Candidates can make an initial attempt within 18 months at the CCIE lab exam of passing the CCIE written exam. Students who have not qualify the exam must reattempt the lab exam within twelve months.
In case candidates who have not qualify the lab exam within 3 years of passing the written test, must reattempt the written test before being allowed to appear in the lab exam again.

The duration required to complete CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) course is one year. The certificate is valid for 3 years and for the first time, when getting recertified candidates have to do it within the first 6 months. Then after validity of certificate will get extended for next three years.
During the curriculum students will learn about Infrastructure Administration, Technologies for LAN Switching, Fundamentals of Networking, Technologies for Routing, Services for Infrastructure, Technologies for Wide Area Networks, Infrastructure Protection, and many more.
