Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) conducts Joint Entrance Test (JET) to provide admissions into various Film Writing and TV wing courses such as three year Post Graduate Diploma Programme, two year Post Graduate Diploma Programme, one year Post Graduate Certificate Programme.
FTII Joint Entrance Test is a multi-stage selection process which includes Audition (for screen Acting), Written Test, Orientation and Interview. The FTII institute will send interview letters to the students who have been qualified directly. The criteria may vary for short listing of different courses. The entrance test takes place in offline mode (pen-paper mode) in 28 cities in different parts of the country.

Aspirants are requested to check the eligibility conditions before filling the application form. Aspirants found ineligible will be rejected in the admission process at any stage and no grievances will be entertained by the institute in this regard.
Three years PGD Courses (Editing, Cinematography, Direction & Screenplay Writing, Sound Recording & Design)
Applicants must have completed Graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
Three years PGD Course in Art Direction and Production Design
Applicants must have completed Graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Applied Arts, Painting, Architecture, Sculpture or relevant field in Fine Arts or diploma from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
Two years PGD courses in Screenwriting (Film, TV & Web Series), Screen Acting
Applicants must have completed Graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
One year Post Graduate Certificate courses in Video Editing, Electronic Cinematography, Direction, Sound Recording and TV Engineering
Applicants must have completed Graduation and holding a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
Note: - Applicants appearing in the final year of Graduation examination and are awaiting results can also apply.
In case such candidates, get selected, will be allowed to join the course provisionally, but for that they need to submit a passing certificate from the Principal / Registrar of their University at the time of interview for documentation verification.
Reservation Policy
(a) SC (Scheduled Castes): 15% of the total seats.
(b) ST (Schedule Tribes): 7.5% of the total seats.
(c) (Non-Creamy Layers) OBC (Other Backward Classes): -27% of the total seats.
(d) Economically Weaker Section (EWS): - 10%
(e) Persons with benchmark Disabilities:- 5%

Descriptive Syllabus
In this paper, questions based on photographs, sketches etc. Besides, short note questions will also be asked such as subject questions. Applicants are required to make topics based on the subjects in which they are applying.
The JET 2024 is an entrance exam conducted by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) for admission into postgraduate diploma programmes. The exam is a pen-paper mode (offline) that has been conducted in various cities across India.
Students wishing to appear for the exam must meet the eligibility conditions of the exam. For the Post-graduate diploma programmes, the JET 2024 exam has been conducted on March 18 and 19, 2024 and results will be declared on the official website soon.

Steps to Get Admit card:
Students are suggested to carry their admit card to the exam centre on exam date. Without the admit-card, students are not permitted for the exam.
