The GRE General Test is offered 24 hours a day at home and most days of the week at a test center near you. You can take the GRE General Test once every 21 days, up to five times within any continuous rolling 12-months period (365 days).
The GRE Admit Card is typically available for download 10-14 days prior to the test date, and can be obtained by logging into your ETS account and accessing the "My GRE" tab. You will need to provide your ETS ID and password to retrieve the Admit Card, or you can request to have it mailed to you. Your GRE scores will be available 10-15 days after you take the test. You can also check your scores by email. ETS will send you an email notification when your scores are available.
Your GRE scores will be valid for five years. You can send your scores to up to four schools at a time. You can also send your scores to schools after the five-year validity period has expired. However, schools may not consider scores that are more than five years old.
