ILICAT stands for Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test conducted at the national level by the Indian Law Institute, Delhi which was established in the year 1956 to provide admissions into one year LL.M. programme. Eligibility Criteria:
To appear in the ILICAT-2024 (Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test), students need to follow the given eligibility conditions.
Students must hold a LL.B./B.L. 3/5 Year degree from a university recognized by Bar Council of India (BCI) with not less than 50 % marks as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India.
Students who are awaiting their final year result can also apply for provisional admission and at time of admission they have to submit the proof of qualifying exam.
A Law Degree from a foreign university with minimum 50% marks as per AIU (Association of Indian University) guidelines.
There is no minimum age required to apply for the ILICAT (Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test).
Application Form Fill-out Process:
Applicants are required to apply through the E-application process (online) only. Last date for registration for this academic year is over. Candidates can apply next year by following the process given below.

- After that click on the ILICAT -2024 admission portal and " New Registration" link.
- Read the instructions carefully before filling out the online application form.
- Fill-up all the necessary details in the application form carefully.
- Upload your signature, scanned photograph, thumb impression and all the necessary documents in the application form.
- Pay the application fee via online mode.
- Submit the application form before the last date of registration.

ILICAT Syllabus
Syllabus:
Before appearing in ILICAT-2024 (Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test) conducted by Indian Law Institute, Delhi, students must check the syllabus given below:
English & General Knowledge- The section includes questions regarding verbal reasoning and comprehension odd-one-out, word choice/sentence correction, grammar, synonyms and antonyms, Vocabulary based questions, Verbal Ability and General English section.
Subjective Questions on Legal aspects- There will be 4 questions in Part III of 10 marks each to test the legal writing skills of the students and questions to be answered in not more than 250 words.
Legal Aptitude- Jurisprudence: Schools of Jurisprudence - Sources of Law: Precedent, Custom and Legislation-Rights and Duties - Obligation-Property-Ownership and Possession-Persons- Liability-Legal Sanctions
Constitutional Law: Nature of the Constitution: Directive Principles of State Policy, Fundamental Rights, Centre-State Relations, Executive Judiciary and Legislature, Amendments to the Constitution, Emergency provisions.

The ILICAT-2024 (Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test) Admit Card was available on the official website of Indian Law Institute, Delhi on May 1, 2024. Students can access their hall ticket by logging in with their login id and password.
Steps to Get Admit card:
- Go to the official website of Indian Law Institute, Delhi.
- Then after click on the " ILICAT -2024 Admit Card" link.
- Enter your login id and password.
- Click on the "Submit" button.
- Admit card/Hall ticket will be shown on the screen.
- Download and print your Admit card/Hall ticket for future reference.
Students are suggested to carry their admit card to the exam centre on exam date. Without the admit-card, students are not permitted for the exam.
