The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) is an all-India level entrance exam conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) for undergraduate courses in Engineering, Science, and Technology. It has been held annually since 1982 and expanded in 1992 to include other programs. NERIST, located in Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, conducts the exam. The 3-hour pen and paper-based test consists of 120 multiple-choice questions divided into three sections. Successful candidates can secure admission to various programs such as B.Tech. in different engineering disciplines, B.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, and B.Voc. in Electronics and Computer Networking.

General Category: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, 60% aggregate, maximum age of 23 years.
OBC Category: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, 55% aggregate, maximum age of 26 years.
SC/ST Category: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, 50% aggregate, maximum age of 28 years.
PWD Category: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology, 45% aggregate, maximum age of 40 years.

NERIST 2024 Exam Dates
The NERIST 2024 Exam for NEE-I (NERIST Entrance Examination - Phase I) is scheduled to be held on 13th May 2024. NEE-II (NERIST Entrance Examination - Phase II) will take place on 14th May 2024. Lastly, NEE-III (NERIST Entrance Examination - Phase III) is scheduled for 24th May 2024. Candidates should note these dates and make necessary preparations accordingly.
