The West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) is used to get into the second year (third semester) of Bachelors Degree courses in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy (except for Architecture) in government and private colleges in West Bengal.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) is used to get into the second year (third semester) of Bachelor's Degree courses in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy (except for Architecture) in government and private colleges in West Bengal.

Application for JELET 2023

 

On December 29, 2022, the government put the WB JELET 2023 application form online. Candidates had to fill out their personal, academic, and communication information on the JELET application form for 2023. 

Only people who turned in their JELET application by the deadline of January 17 will be able to take the entrance exam. Candidates for JELET 2023 had to choose where they wanted to take the test when they filled out the application form. The JELET 2023 prison was open from January 19 to January 20. 

How to Apply for JELET 2023

 

Before applying for the JELET, candidates were told to make sure they met the requirements. Candidates should meet the criteria, such as passing an exam, being under a certain age, getting a certain grade, etc. Different streams have different requirements for who can join. Qualifications for candidates with a diploma

Candidates must have a diploma from an AICTE-approved college or university with at least 45% (or 40% if they are in a reserved category) or an equivalent CGPA in the relevant field.

For admission to Jadavpur University, candidates must have a 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the branch from an institute or university that the AICTE approves.

Diploma holders can be any age they want to be.

For people with a diploma in pharmacy who want to get into a degree program in pharmacy: In case there are no more spots in the second year (lateral entry), candidates will also be able to get into the first year.

 

Qualifications for candidates with a BSc

The candidates must have a BSc from a recognized school with an average grade of 45% (or 40% if they are in a reserved category).

The main subject in Class 12 for candidates should have been mathematics.

If applicants were accepted, they had to pass Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics/Drawing, and the second-year subjects.

People with a BSc degree are not allowed to take the Pharmacy course.

People with a BSc are also not allowed to go to Jadavpur University.

Eligibility criteria for candidates with both a Diploma and a BSc

Applicants will also be able to get into the first year of the Engineering program if there are still open seats in the first year and no more spots in the second year (lateral entry).

But candidates must meet the above requirements to be eligible.

JELET 2023 Syllabus

The official JELET syllabus for 2023 has been posted online by WBJEEB. With the JELET 2023 syllabus, candidates can now see what subjects, topics, and units they need to study for the entrance exam. Before starting to study, a candidate has a better chance of doing well if they check the syllabus and ensure they understand it.
