Overview
BITS Pilanis BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test) is a computer-based entrance exam for undergraduate engineering, pharmacy, and science programmes. Every year, the exam is held in May, and for BITSAT (2023) is held in the months of May and June(session-1 and session-2 respectively) the application process begins in January. The test consists of multiple-choice questions based on the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabuses for Classes 11 and 12, as well as questions on English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning. BITSAT has 2,500 seats available throughout its three campuses in Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Candidates are chosen based on their performance in the BITSAT exam and their 12th board examination results.

Eligibility for BITSAT Exam:

Criteria
For admission to all the programmes except B. Pharm
Candidates must have completed the 12th examination of the 10+2 system from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, as well as appropriate English ability.
For admission to B. Pharma
Candidates must have successfully completed the 12th grade under the 10+2 system from a reputable Central or State board, or its equivalent, with the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology as well as a sufficient level of English proficiency. Candidates with PCM are still welcome to apply for the Pharmacy program, after all.
 
For all the programmes the given information is to take care is :
·         A minimum of 75% overall in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (if the candidate took Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum of 75% overall in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (if the candidate took Biology in BITSAT) in the 12th examination, with at least 60% in each of the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology subjects, is required of the candidate.
·         The student who passed out 10+2  in 2022 and appeared in 2023 are only allowed to give BITSAT Exam.
·         All the first rankers from Central and State are eligible to take direct admission to the programme of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT-2023 score as per the eligibility criteria, the final list will be available in June on the official website of BITSAT. Here BITSAT Score is not mandatory.
How to apply for BITSAT 2023?
·         Interested candidates should apply online using the required application form to register their names for BITSAT-2023. An applicant must submit an online application at( http://www.bitsadmission.com )and pay the required costs. Take a printout of the completed form as well for your records.
·         Given that BITSAT will be held in two sessions this time, the prescribed fee for BITSAT-2023 is Rs. 5400 for male candidates and Rs. 4400 for female candidates who opt to appear twice.
·         A candidate will pay an entrance fee of Rs. 3400 (for a male candidate) and Rs. 2900 (for a female candidate) if they first choose to appear once (Session-I). The candidate will be required to pay an additional amount of Rs. 2000 (for a male candidate) and Rs. 1500 (for a female candidate) if he or she chooses to apply to appear a second time (Session-II). If a candidate chooses to appear only for Session II, they must pay a fee of Rs. 3400 for men and Rs. 2900 for women.
·         The application fee is not transferable and not refundable.
Procedure to apply for BITS :
Candidates must additionally apply for admission to BITS, including information about their 12th-grade marks and preferences for the various degree programmes offered at three BITS campuses in India, in addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2023. Probably in June 2023, the BITS admission website will make the required application form, comprehensive application instructions, information on academic flexibilities like Dual Degree, Transfer, etc., admission modality, and the complete list of degree programmes available. On or before June 23, 2023, applicants must submit their completed application forms online at the BITS admission website, together with the requisite application fee and information regarding their 12th-grade marks and preferences for various degree programmes.

BITSAT 2023 Admit Card

The admit card is downloaded from the official website of the BITSAT, Here are the steps to download admit card :
·         Visit the official website of BITSAT - bitsadmission.com
·         Click on the BITSAT 2023 Admit Card link.
·         Enter your application number and date of birth.
·         Click on the "Submit" button.
After completing these steps your admit card will appear, Take a printout of admit card.

Individual portions of the test have no time limit. The candidate can revise any of his or her responses to the 130 questions.
ImportantNote: Candidates who have attempted all 130 questions within the given time limit of 3 hours will be given the option to attempt 12 extra questions.
 
The additional questions will only come from the Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Logical Reasoning sections. Every section will include three questions.
 
Candidates may attempt the additional questions only if there is time remaining after finishing the first 130 questions.
 
Once a candidate has selected extra questions, they will be unable to correct any of the previously answered 130 questions.
 
If a candidate chooses to submit their paper before the time limit of 3 hours, the extra questions will not be offered.
 
The additional questions will be of the same difficulty level as the original ones, as will the marking scheme.+3 for each extra question and the total marks is 36
