Overview

XLRI has been conducting the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) on behalf of XAMI. XAT is an annual national-level MBA entrance exam for admission to management programmes at XLRI and other top B-schools in India, including Loyola Institute of Business Management, St. Joseph's Institute of Management, IMT Ghaziabad, GIM Goa, Sri Balaji University, TAPMI Manipal, XIMB Bhubaneswar, FORE School of Management, and others. The XAT exam is given in over major cities around India, and the results are accepted for admission to XLRI Jamshedpur and other Xavier Associate Management Institutes. Furthermore, XAT scores are accepted by more than 100 top business schools around the country. The exam employs innovative technology and testing patterns to provide a comprehensive assessment of potential business management candidates.

Application Process for XAT (2023):

  1. The candidate should have a bachelor's or equivalent degree from a recognized university and final-year student can also apply for the exam provided that they complete it by JUNE 10 2023
  2. There is no age limit for XAT Exam
  3. Candidates from any Country can apply for XAT (2023) as long as they fulfil the other eligibility criteria

Filling Application form:

  1. Visit the official website of https://www.xatonline.in
  2. Register yourself (Enter mail id, mobile number,Date of birth etc) and after registration candidate needs to log in and proceed application form
  3. Enter personal details and educational qualifications and other mandatory requirements
  4. Upload documents as per the prescribed format
  5. Select exam centres and pay the application fee through (Debit/credit-card/net ban) and before final submit must review the  application form
  6.  Download and Print the application form for future reference

The number of questions varies from one year to the next. There will be around 22-30 questions in each part, with a total of 100-105 questions including General Knowledge.

General Knowledge and Essay will be used only at the interview stage and will not be used to decide the cut-off.

XAT 2023 Admit Card

  1. Visit the official website of XAT.
  2. Click on Download Admit Card.
  3. Enter the login details that you used during registration.
  4. Click on Download your admit card.
  5. Check the details on the admit card, like your name, photo, signature, exam centre, date and time.
  6. If you find any errors, contact the XAT authorities right away to get them corrected.
  7. Print the admit card ensuring that the photo and signature are visible.
  8. Read the instructions on the admit card regarding what to carry to the exam centre.
  9. Keep the admit card safe, you will need it to enter the exam centre.

Marking Scheme:

  1. Each correct answer will be 1 mark.
  2. For each incorrect response, 0.25 points will be deducted.
  3. More than eight unanswered consecutive questions will result in a 0.10-point deduction.
  4. In the General Knowledge portion, there will be no negative marking.
  5. The General Knowledge component scores will not be used to calculate the XAT score.
