COMEDK is a consortium of medical, engineering, and dental colleges in Karnataka, responsible for organizing fair and transparent entrance exams for aspiring students. While the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) is now mandated for medical and dental courses, COMEDK continues to conduct evaluations for around 150 engineering colleges. The entrance exam for the academic year 2023-24 will be held on May 28, 2023, and followed by online counselling. The test is designed to ensure merit-based admissions through a fair and transparent process, as outlined by the Supreme Court in previous cases. Eligibility:

For Undergraduate Engineering

  1. Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as obligatory topics
  2. Candidates in the general category must have a minimum aggregate of 45% in PCM, whereas SC/ST/OBC candidates in Karnataka must have a minimum aggregate of 40% in PCM.
  3. Physics and Mathematics are required subjects, with Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics available as electives.
  4. Admission to engineering courses requires only one try at the COMEDK Entrance Test.
  5. Candidates with a diploma are not eligible for lateral entry admissions.
  6. Candidates must present the original qualifying exam scorecard during counselling to demonstrate their eligibility.

For Undergraduate Architecture:

  1. Second PUC or 10+2 is the qualifying examination for admission to B.Arch.
  2. Candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, or have passed a 10+3 Diploma test with Mathematics as a necessary subject.
  3. All candidates must pass the NATA, which is administered by the Council of Architecture, with qualifying marks in both the individual and aggregate components.
  4. COMEDK does not hold an Entrance Test for B.Arch admissions.
  5. Candidates must complete a separate counselling application form on the COMEDK website.

Steps to Fill COMEDK Exam 2023:

Visit the Official website of COMEDK and follow the steps mentioned below:

  1. Fill in candidate details in the registration form
  2. Generate and validate OTP for the registered mobile number
  3. Click on register and complete the candidate registration
  4. Receive SMS & E-mail with User ID/App no and Password
  5. Logout and Login again using your User ID & Password
  6. Click on 'Go to application'
  7. Fill in academic details and upload documents in the prescribed format and size as mentioned in the exam brochure
  8. Fill in the examination city preferences and select payment details
  9. Verify all details on the Preview Page
  10. Click on Submit  and complete the payment
  11. Check the successful application status by logging in again
  12. Take the printout of the application (for your reference only)

COMEDK UGET 2023 Admit Card

Steps to get admit card:

  1. Visit the COMEDK UGET official website at www.comedk.org.
  2. On the homepage, look for the "Admit Card" link and click it.
  3. To access your account, enter your password and registered email address.
  4. After logging in, select "Admit Card" from the menu.
  5. On the screen, your admit card will be visible. Verify the accuracy of all the information on it by checking it.
  6. Save the admissions card to your device by downloading it.
  7. Print the admissions card on A4-sized paper.
  8. Make sure to bring a valid photo ID and the admit card to the exam location.

Note-If there are any errors on the admit card, you should get in touch with COMEDK UGET officials as a way to have them corrected.

COMEDK UGET 2023 Exam Centres

The exam Will be Held in the cities of  Karnataka. All cities can be found in the official information bulletin of official authority to know more click here

  1. Test cities are allotted on a first come first serve basis, but COMEDK can change the city.
  2. Candidates can select 3 cities in order of preference while applying for the exam.
  3. The option to choose the test city is available before submitting the application form, and the preference is considered only after successful payment.
  4. The chosen city cannot be changed later.
  5. If a city is unavailable, candidates can choose an alternative city.
  6. If a test city is cancelled, candidates will be allotted a center in another city by COMEDK.
  7. COMEDK reserves the right to allot any other exam city.
  8. Any changes to the policy will be communicated on the website.
  9. Each city can have one or more centers allocated through a computerized process.
  10. The allocated center and session will be communicated on the online Test Admission Ticket (online TAT).

  2. Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark
  3. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers

  5. In case of ties in the total percentile scores, if any, the same will be resolved using the following

revised tie-breaking rules, in the order specified:

  • A higher Percentile scores of Physics and Mathematics marks taken together
  • Higher Percentile Score in Mathematics
  • Higher Percentile score in Chemistry
  • Age of the Candidate, the elder candidate is ranked higher than the younger candidate

The authorities use tie-breaking procedures when two or more pupils receive comparable grades. The following order in which the candidates will be evaluated is:

  1. Candidates will be ranked higher based on how few of their physics, chemistry, and math questions were incorrect.
  2. Candidates will be ranked higher if they received higher overall Physics and Math scores.
  3. Candidates who perform well on mathematics test will be ranked higher.
  4. Candidates that are older will be preferred.
